Tankian, quando estudava, tinha média 4. Odiava estudar.

Malakian gostaria de ver Charles Manson fora da prisão pois gosta de seu ponto de vista sobre o meio ambiente.

Serj Tankian (vocal) e John Dolmayan (bateria) nasceram no Líbano. Shavo Odadjian (baixo) nasceu na Armênia e Daron Malakian (guitarra) é da Califórnia. Todos eles são descendentes de armênios.

Serj Tankian trabalhou como vendedor de sapatos antes de se juntar à banda. E ele também gerenciou uma bem sucedida empresa de software.

A banda é contra 'opressão e agressão'. Eles geralmente tomam uma postura política nas músicas que escrevem.
