Ela ganhou o apelido Pitty por causa da estatura. Ela também tinha outro apelido: Pitica.

Ela nasceu em Salvador, mas passou parte da adolescência em Porto Seguro.

Ela começou a trabalhar cedo: foi balconista de loja, garçonete, recepcionista, locutora.

Quando era adolescente, ela fez parte da banda de hardcore Inkoma.

Ela estudou música na Universidade Federal da Bahia.

Para compor as letras do primeiro CD, ela se inspirou nos diários que mantinha desde a infância.
